We keep data collection minimal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
Waitlist / account email, if you join the beta or create an account. Used to contact you about MacWrap. Stored by our email provider.
License & subscription data, if you subscribe: your license key and activation status, handled by our Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy) and validated by our servers.
Minimal technical data on recipe requests, when the app fetches a premium recipe, our server receives the app identifier requested and your license key (to authorize delivery). We do not log the contents of your files.
Optional anonymous diagnostics, only if you opt in: app version, macOS version, and anonymous error reports to improve compatibility. Off by default.
What we do NOT collect
We do not upload, read, or store the Windows software or games you wrap, your files, your documents, or any data inside wrapped apps. Wrapping happens locally on your Mac.
When you connect your Epic Games account, authentication is handled locally by the open-source Legendary client against Epic's official API. Your Epic credentials and token stay on your Mac; we never receive them.
We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties (processors)
Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record), processes payments, subscriptions, tax, and license keys, under their own privacy policy.
Email provider, stores beta/newsletter emails.
Hosting / CDN (GitHub Pages), serves the website.
We share data with these only as needed to run the service.
Legal basis & your rights
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is contract (to provide the service) and consent (marketing emails, optional diagnostics). You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent, by emailing support@macwrap.app. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. invoicing records held by our Merchant of Record).
